Africa’s official languages are Afrikaans, English and nine others and have a literacy of about 81.8%.
Africa has a huge export of gold, diamond and metals. Beside this machinery, equipments and minerals are other export materials of Africa.

Pre Colonial History:
The oldest surviving inhabitants of South Africa are people who speak Khosain languages and the black Africans of today are the people who belonged to the Bantu group and migrated some 1000 AD before from central Africa to south settling themselves in the Transvaal region. The ancestors of Nguni and Zulu and Xhosa are surviving here since 1500 by the eastern coast. There wasn’t any settlement of whites till 1652 due to the due to the existence of the Dutch East Indian Company established in the Cape. Slowly with the time Dutch, French Huguenot refugees and Germans established themselves in the cape. British through his magnificent power acquired control over the Cape of Good Hope by the end of the 18th century. To escape the British rule and to save them selves from their slavery Afrikaner farmers (Boers) took a northern migration and their migration came to be known as the “Great Trek”. Zulu conquered many territories under the rule of Shaka (1787-1828). Later Shaka was murdered and assassinated treacherously by his so called half-brother Dingane.

Post Colonial History:
Africa faced a major evil of racisms. To over come this problem and the other evils faced by them African National Congress (ANC) came into existence.  The national Party(NP) after winning the all-white election in the year 1948 starting passing legislations for elimination racism enforcing the policy of white dominance in the society. Anti-apartheid leaders like Nelson Mandela were sent to prison because of the voice which they raised against racism.
With the coming of the State President F. W. de Klerk in the year February 1990 declared that ANC will not be banned. After this declaration within two weeks nelson Mandela was released from her imprisonment. After this the country’s first nonracial elections took place in April 26 to 29, 1994 making Nelson Mandela as their president and the inaugurator of the elections. This lead to complete happiness in Africa but it was only privileged by selective blacks and whites and most blacks were remained in their poverty and remained un-employed. At that time 50% of the blacks were in poverty and 26% were unemployed constituting even worse of 5.3 million of people as HIV positive.
